I had a weird experience with the closed Hollister 18323 bag where I kept getting whiffs of stinkiness with very little poo (like even if it was a drainable, not worth emptying) in the bag.  My husband even noticed when he was sitting in a chair next to the couch I was sitting on. There may have been some air biscuits. 🤓

I’m sure it likely had something to do with the filter at the top of the bag, but long story short, I don’t want to be wearing a bag that gets stinky at all. I don’t want to have to tape over the filter on the outside of my bag where it can just get worn off by pulling my pants up and down.

but this is even weirder, after washing my hands with yummy smelling hand soap and then running my fingers across the fabric of the bag my fingers smelled like poo. It was almost like the smell was in the outer fabric of the bag. 😟

I’m back to Coloplast two piece Mio and I guess that’s it. Though there are things I don’t like, it still seems to be the least worst. I do have to tape over the filter to avoid pancaking cause it has super suction, but the little stickers they send to cover the filter are protected by the gray material on the outside of the bag.

So now I have 29 Hollister bags and 9 baseplates that I need to see if Edgepark will take back so I don’t run over my allowed insurance bag quota. Has anyone ever sent back supplies? Is that even a thing or would these supplies be one of those non-returnable items?

If not, I guess it’s tape the filter and risk being Stinky Bag Magillicutty till they are all used up.

Never had that issue with any of the Hollister bags. I’ll be surprised if they’ll take them back, but who knows.

Hi Elle,

That is weird... but Edgepark does allow for returns. Here's their return policy from their website:

Items must be received within 30 days of issuing the RMA.
