Taking loperamide 4 mg three times a day with food to thicken but not working… wondering how much others take? Thanks for responding!

Good morning. I don't take anything to reduce output.

I don't have much liquid output, only in the mornings or during the wee hours like 3-4 a.m.

This is unusual for me, but with ileo now six years old, I think I am the oddball here.

I have read about thickening output.

Many things are available.

Someone will chime in. Sometimes nature needs time to balance you out.

Hang in there. You should stabilize soon.

I take one 2mg Imodium twice a day. Prior to starting that regimen, I was emptying my bag ~10 times a day. Now, it is ~5 times a day. Admittedly, I now let my bag fill a bit more, as it does not seem as heavy as it used to and I am no longer concerned about watery stool causing leaks. I still have to deal with burping the bag, as the Imodium does not seem to help as much with gas. But, I no longer have to wait to get rid of breakfast before my morning walk. :-)

You could try 3 of sand and 1 of cement, but don't use a lot. Regards, IGGIE
