Hiya,

Has anyone else tried these new D-Ostomy 2-piece bags from the UK? Interesting approach and they look promising. They don't have convex yet, but I will be giving them a go for a few days.

Also, because of my struggles with Short Bowel Syndrome and difficulty getting approved for Gattex, I found this mineral-based supplement called Esdifan. So far, the results are pretty remarkable. I no longer need to take huge doses of Imodium and Lomotil. Anyone else tried this to slow down passage?

I also have SBS but get an Octreotide injection once a month to help slow things down. I went from 3500-4000 ml output a day and regular IV fluid infusions for constant dehydration to 1200-1500 ml a day. I do still have to use Imodium and avoid sugars. I've never heard of the Esdifan, but I'm gonna look it up.

Thank you for the info!

Thanks for the reply and that's great to hear! I'm starting IV next week. Definitely try the Esdifan and see if it can get you below 1200 ml per day. It's an otherwise harmless clay, so no risks involved.

Cheers!
