Hi! I recently had an ostemy, like a month ago. I'm adjusting pretty well for the most part....OK I break down crying at least twice a day in private. This was somewhat unexpected. I'll get in to my fun story later.

For now I have a serious question. Since my surgery I've had several instances of wetting my bed at night. I'm curious if this could be related to my ostemy?

Thanks!!

Did they do more in surgery than just an ostomy?

Yes. It was exploratory and an abdominal cleanse. That is how the hole in Large intestine was discovered. They went in thinking they were removing an abscess and it turned out to be so much more. At this point I'm going to get adult diapers until I figure out what is going on.

Hi Angie.. tests need to be done to find out the reason  you are having problems.  May be they nipped your bladder.

Could be a multitude of things. I know men will have that issue with prostate problems, maybe your Skene’s glands or something else in the urinary tract is “off”, best to go see your doctor and hopefully they refer you to a urologist.
