Has anyone had K-Pouch surgery? I’m trying to learn how practical it might be for me. I’ve had ongoing issues with my illeostomy, including a repeatedly receding stoma. There are only a handful of doctors in the US who do the surgery as none are in Dallas, where I live. I traveled to Cleveland Clinic in November and met with Dr. Steele, who performs K-Pouch surgery. Since I wouldn’t be able to receive follow up care where I live, I want to try to find out how practical it would be for me to travel up there for surgery. Does anyone have experience with K-Pouch surgery and/or long distance medical care? Thank you in advance!!
