( a bunch comes from our group here).
If you're in a rough patch, without insurance and need some help with supplies, please send me a PM and let me know what it is you need. If I have it in the closet then I’ll be happy to send it to you.
P.S. Apparently you can’t send a PM if you aren’t a paid member. So maybe start a post saying you need help so we’ll be sure to see it.

Whoever wants whatever we both have, needs to state the item and part number if they can.
Perhaps also mention what brand and system they are using now?
One thing that might be an issue...if a new person ( newbie) is not a paid member, they can't PM you.
Usually someone will start a topic " help I need supplies".
In this case. you will need to PM them.
I'm finding out about bits and pieces on how this site functions. I have a contact.
Being a paid member does have its advantages. For some, at the moment, can't afford that membership fee.

Reply was nope. They don't offer any way to do that.

What anyone can do and I'm not trying to divert anyone from contemplating a paid account but, leave a message in one of these threads asking for the one offering help to initiate the DM. A non paid account can reply. 🤷🏼♂️
Good advice, but leaving a message in a thread could get lost. The idea is to promote that there is a need, and Kas and I, or others, can help fill it. The title or topic is the front door. Open that, and people will enter, asking for supplies, and then paid members like Kas and I will reply.
These replies to topics go sideways, you know? And it's hard to find them inside a thread not meant for needed supplies.
I think if someone (newbie, non-paid member) opened with "Supplies needed - any help out here?" it would catch attention not only for that person but others stuck in the same boat.
Lack of insurance? Laid off?
Can't return to work, etc. Whatever their reason to ask for supplies, if we have their equipment, we can deliver.
A lot of members who underwent reversals ask, "Where can I donate my supplies?"
We are here accepting them and "giving back" to those in need.
