K9 Product Usage: Drops and Spray Confusion

I have seen K9 mentioned in several discussions about controlling oder.   It seems several swear by the product.   I ordered some drops and already have the spray.  Im a little confused- does the product go into the pouch at each change or into the toliet bowl after flushing??

M9 goes in the pouch. Three squirts in a regular one and two in a mini pouch.Works good for me.Use the spray before you open your pouch.

Thanks - I kind of assumed that was the case.
