I've been wanting to get a Crohn's disease tattoo or something for my ileostomy, anybody out there have any? Couldn't really find any good ones while searching..

Being so new to this, it seems each day I have a new question... Thanks to everyone for all your help.
So, my stoma output is still exceedingly slow over the last few days. Three days with only a tiny movement, and one day with none.
Part of my output today, for all appearances and texture, appeared to be a piece of poorly chewed and digested piece of meat with some gristle.

Hi all, I had a colostomy 4 weeks ago and also have a catheter. I am experiencing a sharp spasm in my lower stomach with a feeling that I need to poo and wee at the same time. Anyone else experienced anything like this?

As of today, it's been 14 years since having my life-saving surgery. Though there have been ups and downs along with trials and errors, I wouldn't be here today.

I read other people were having problems with Hollister products. My wafers will not stay on like they did before the pandemic. I have called Hollister and they sent a free box, but that does not solve what is happening. I still work a very laborious job because I have to. And when your ostomy products do not work, it is extremely difficult and embarrassing!
Has anyone found a solution to this ...

I've used the Hollister #8805 barrier ring since my ileostomy in 2018 without any problems whatsoever. I got my sigmoid colectomy in December, and I was going to get the reversal surgery as soon as I could. But to be honest, it's been such a hassle, and at this point, I am debating if I should get it or just keep my ostomy. Can someone who has gotten a reversal tell me how it went and their experience? And can someone who decided not to get it let me know if it's worth it?

Ok, this is bugging me enough to ask on here. I use a Hollister 2-piece, and lately, the bag has been coming detached from the wafer. I am wondering what boneheaded thing I am doing to have this happen. I had my ileostomy surgery about a month and a half ago, and for the most part, everything has been smooth with my ostomy and output. But every morning for the first few hours, my output is very thin and mucousy. I don't drink caffeine, and for breakfast, I usually try to eat bread or something to thicken the output. Is this normal for anyone else?

Yet another question to my trusted panel of advisors...
It wasn't much, but this morning I passed a small formed stool and a small amount of unformed stool from my rectum. My colostomy was 5 weeks ago...
Is this normal?

So this inquiring mind needs to know what some of you do to get air to your skin around the stoma? I was telling myself, wouldn't it be great if there was something that a person with an ostomy could use over their stoma so air can get to the skin for let's say overnight or something. And if there is something, please let me know.

I am a cancer survivor and a user of ostomy products. I like to hear from others about the alternatives available to the Coloplast Assura Conseal Plug (since they were discontinued by Coloplast). There are alternatives, one of them being the AMPatch stoma cover. Are there some of you who use it? Do they work as advertised? Concerns? Advice?

Just saw this mentioned in someone's reply to a question. Had never heard of a "plug". It sounds like it would be advantageous for intimacy.
