I do not like the night time collection container . I use a Coloplast Click High Output Ostomy bag # 18600 and it is good for at least 10 hours at night. No getting up during the night and better than having some container on the floor next to my bed. Have been using this hi output bag for the past 5 years. It really works.

Great idea to stock up in case of flood, earthquake, fire…  I’m trying to keep a go bag with at least a week of supplies, maybe more. Do you do this? I’ve had my ileostomy since August. It scares me to think of being without extra supplies. It’s difficult to build up my supply because of the monthly limits. My home nurses are required to order for me because I’m assigned to them for life. I had wanted to order for myself until I read these messages.

Byrum has taken care of me for 4+ years.  They have a nice variety of supplies and are very responsive.  I'm not on medicare yet, so I can't say if Medicare covers it.

Lol shark fan, I know I said Bryham and Comfort.Medical are the best two I have found so far, but yes, they do take Medicare.

Try Paylessmedical, a Canadian company. I believe they accept US Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance. I've been using them for 20 years. They dropship to the US. I have always received my supplies within two to three days of ordering. Best wishes.

I’m on Medicare, and I’ve been happy with Byram.

Same thing happened to me, Mayo gave me 6 months' supplies. One size does not fit all. Many good supply houses out there. Find a large one in your area. Ask for recommendations from locals or your Stoma/Wound RN (best).

Thank you for your feedback on this post regarding Med Suppliers. You just saved me the trouble of contacting 1-800-Medical, as I use Coloplast.
Wishing you and yours a safe, warm, and happy Thanksgiving and coming holiday season!

I use douche bottles and clean them after use. I have a small trunk by the toilet with all my products in it. I also soak them in soapy water with a little shot of bleach, rinse well, and hang to dry in the laundry room. I've been doing this for a year since my surgery in April 23! When “Wee Willie” goes potty, I clean him every time. I wear a Holister 2-piece, so it's easy to unsnap and clean after every movement. I am petite, and any amount shows on me. I had leaks the first month or so, but no more since I now use the barrier strips all around the base of the wafer. I have used the same bags for a long time and hardly ever have to get new ones, so it really saves on the products. Also, I use the paste around the wafer hole, and when I change, there is nothing on the wafer! I keep the clean ones in a drawer in my bathroom, and it's nice to have a clean one handy when it is too messy. I hope this helps someone who does not have insurance. The bags are definitely reusable!

I am having this experience right now. I have called 7 times for the last 10 days or so. I get a promise that they will get them to me only to find that none of them followed through! I told all of them I was out. But it didn't seem to matter. Even when I'd talk to a supervisor. I finally ordered some from Amazon and called Comfort Supplies today. I'm done.

Yes, you do. They totally messed my orders up this spring because of this. I still haven't gotten the supplies this month because they can't get it worked out. I am going to Comfort Medical.
