DEDICATION.
I dedicate the verses here
to all those people I hold dear.
For whether they’ve proved weak or strong
all helped to move my life along.
Each person had an ostomy
and they stand tall because to me
these are people I admire
and to whom I can aspire.
By what they tell us we can tell
that they’ve had other things as well
like cancer, crohn’s and IBS.
yet they can still cope with the stress.
Most ‘normal’ people cannot know
the ins and outs of our aggro.
But those who’ve been recipients
are those with most experience.
Because of all that they’ve been through
they are the ones who really knew
and they’re the ones who thought they ought
to give to others their support.
So I feel there is no doubt
these people know what they’re about
and there could not be any price
that I would put on their advice.
When I first had my ostomy
it’s them were glad to share with me.
So I was not left on my own
to be bereft with this unknown.
So they deserve this dedication
for in spite of medication
they nonetheless discussed with us
so we progressed with much less fuss.
