So glad this site is out there and that I found it. Though I have been on here less than a year, cheers to those who have been here longer.

It is an invaluable place to connect.

And thank you for providing this "connection." It most certainly has had a major effect on my ability to mentally and physically adjust and deal with what was one of the most devastating events of my life. Thank you! jb

Hello administrator.
It feels really good to hear from you on the forum and we appreciate the information that MAO is now 17 years old.
What you say about about this site is all very pertinent and I have certainly appreciated being able to communicate with people who understand what we are going through with this condition.
I think that our sincere thanks are in order to you and whoever supports you, for setting the site up and managing it so well over the years.
Best wishes

Bill

Hello Administrator

Thank you for setting up this site.

I iterate all that Bill has so aptly said - as a relative newbie to this community, I find the inspiration and fellowship folk share makes such a positive contribution - whether one pops in for a moment or allows oneself the reward of a longer foray among such wisdom and helpful sharing.

Whilst one appreciates that the administration team appropriately remains anon - perhaps I will try to come up with an A N O N 'name' for you - as a genuine response to the dedication, focus, good intent, and ongoing process of hosting and running such a resource as MeetanOstomate - success comes to those who are prepared, focused, giving - and also who are able to receive.

I am humbled to genuinely be able to express my feeling and 'thank you'.

In gratitude,

Best wishes

Jayne.

Whoops, in reply to Bill... I am, of course, thanking directly the host and administration of MeetAnOstomate...

Thank you,

Best wishes,

Jayne

... sorry, not as au fait as I perhaps should be... like I say, I do not usually 'DO' social media and I am not usually online within the forum arena - so yes, MAO is the valid exception for me - TY :-)

Thank you, MAO, for putting up this site to share with all Ostomates. Even I, with an ileostomy for 42 years, have learned new things and good tips that have made having an ileostomy easier to manage. In fact, my hat is off to everyone out there who has contributed in one way or another. You will always find help on this site and especially friends. Here's wishing all of you at MAO and everyone who is on the site a Happy Thanksgiving!
