Question: support belt or wrap? I’ve seen the belts with the hole in it. Can you wear a support belt without the hole? For the women, have any of you tried the wrap that looks like a skirt? Thank you!

I recently got a hernia belt.  I wouldn't call it a belt though.  It's more like a girdle.  When I got it I had to cut my own custom hole.  It's pretty snug so, I wouldn't want to wear it over the bag.

I'll also wear a nylon wrap over the hernia belt to keep my clothes from riding up or tearing the Velcro open.

I have a support belt and love it. You would not want to wear it without the holes, it would block your ostomy. My belt has a light fabric designed to hold my bags which Iis a bit like a belt and a wrap in one.

I'm planning to order a Nu Hope belt which is just a plain belt. Not sure which I will prefer but it looks like insurance will pay for the Nu Hope belt so it's worth a try if only to have something to wear when the first is being washed.

I've not tried the wrap like a skirt, my ostomies are much too high on my body for that to work.

You can wear a support belt and a wrap if you want. I have a hernia belt with just the hole for support and wear a wrap that covers/holds the bag. No more uncomfortable wearing the two than wearing just one.

I ware a tummy sleeve from a maternity shop. Works good for me. Also the Hollister belt to be extra safe.

You could try one of these, cheap and easy, I wear the same without the hole when training, but not for very long. I would be cautious not to have the band to tight so it forces your stoma out further.

I just bought from TEMU what lady's call a Boob tube, but knowing thy would be to tight I bought two of them and after a trial and era I used my sewing machine to join the two together until I got the right amount of tension so as not to stop the contents from moving down the bag, And it works OK.

I'm letting you guys know I use a Boob Tube but don't let anyone else know.

I’m concerned about my clothes not fitting once I get belted up or it being on the tight side and feeling like I can’t breathe 🤔

Did you have to cut a hole in it or is it not too tight?

No, the belly space is fine after it has been used a few times. You may get a little pancaking but by then it is time to change anyway.

I've heard some horror stories about TEMU 😱

Something about an order of a blanket that when receiving it, it turned out to be the size of the washcloth 🧐

Regarding the wraps...they are not corset types. They are comfortable depending on how wide u get one. All different widths..they stretch.. only thing in summer is u do sweat.. so there is that...  and in winter it keeps u warm. I never had an uncomfortable wrap. U need to experiment see what fits well.

The flange belts are adjustable..

Now..when time comes u can't breathe.....gimme a sec here....

Naaaw..I'll be good. 🤭😉

I bought a hernia support belt with a hole in it, where my bag goes through, I bought it from Aliexpress from China, and it fits, and does give me support, but I often can not keep it on for long as it just feels too tight, and as I suffer from both acute and chronic pain I prefer to be comfortable, but if I want to go into the vegetable garden my husband insist I wear it, to prevent anymore hernias.
