Today Mrs. B & I are in Curaçao. Hot and humid with scattered cloudy skies. We took a tour of caves this morning.

Time for me to mow down a cheeseburger and hot dog. Then relax by the pool. Mrs. B is out there somewhere fraternizing with dolphins.

Stoma doing good. No troubles with the heat or humidity.

Hey Beachboy,

It's great to hear you're having a good time in Curaçao! I'm sure you'll find plenty of support and camaraderie from the large community here. It's always nice to connect with others who understand the unique experiences we go through.

Sounds like you're having an amazing trip! Exploring caves and enjoying the local cuisine by the pool sounds like a perfect day. It's awesome that your stoma is handling the heat and humidity well. Staying hydrated and taking breaks in the shade can help keep things comfortable. If you ever need tips on managing in different climates, this community is a great resource.

With thousands of members on this site, you can use the search feature to find others who might be nearby or share similar interests. Connecting with people around your age or in your area can be really comforting and helpful. Enjoy the rest of your trip!

Oh boy, BB, you're livin' it up! I always find that my stoma behaves when I'm on vacation (except the one time it exploded while staying with friends in CA). Your sixth pic reminds me of a print of Burano that a local hospital art program for which I volunteered had in their catalog of prints. It was a popular choice among patients.

I have an update about the rectal stump inflammation I've been dealing with since Christmas. I took suppository medicine for 30 days. First day... instant relief. No bleeding. I was amazed. That was the same all 30 days. Three weeks later, all remained good.

Last week... started bleeding again. Disheartening. So I'm back to square one. I'll visit my most excellent gastroenterologist soon after I return home.

I hope you're not having too much discomfort on your vacation. I remember dealing with those suppositories. 😕

Fortunately, I completed the medicine about a week before I left. The suppository medicine didn't cause me any discomfort or trouble. It worked really well. But I'm back to bleeding again. It's easy to manage... with a pad. I'm not sure what my gastroenterologist will recommend next. But I'm not gonna do Barbie butt surgery. So..... I guess I'll be stocking up on pads. 😉
