Hi, I have read several different posts in which people recommend different Yummie Tummie products, Spanx products, and other things such as this. I am not sure which one to get or which one works best, and these are things I don't think you can try on. My main issue is that when my bag starts to fill up, it's all at the bottom area and getting fatter and fatter. Also, when I wear jeans, the surgeon and WCON said to make sure the stoma is above the jeans, which is fine, but sometimes it doesn't work as well, and different people have suggested wearing a Spanx tank (longer one). Does anyone have more specific advice or more suggestions, even if you have told me before?

Thanks, Elena

Hi lanabana,

You're in the right place to get plenty of support from our large community here. Everyone's really helpful and full of great advice.

When it comes to clothing options, many folks find that high-waisted jeans or pants can be a game-changer, as they can help keep everything in place without putting pressure on the stoma. As for shapewear, a longer Spanx tank can indeed help smooth things out and provide a bit of extra support. Some people also recommend ostomy wraps or belts, which can be worn under your clothes to help distribute the weight of the bag more evenly. It's all about finding what feels comfortable and works best for you.

Congrats on being part of this community! You'll find lots of support, information, and some really cool people who are more than willing to share their experiences and tips.

Hi lanabana -- not sure if you have a company named Comfizz in your part of the world? They do some unisex long leg undershorts (a bit like racing cyclists wear). They are pretty good, with tummy & thigh support & keep the bag in a secure position & hugged close to the body. Although I am a male Urostomate, I feel they may be of use to any sex & any ostomy! I wear them & find them very comfortable.
