So, I foolishly wrote that once I started taking stool softeners the rectal pain and pressure had subsided. Well, the honeymoon is over. I had relief for a total of 2 days and WHAM, it has hit me again with a vengeance. I'm miserable. I literally had to spend the entire afternoon in bed the other day so I could lie on the heating pad against my rear. Does anyone have a recommendation? Should I give in and call my surgeon?? I really kept hoping this would pass, but it has become the biggest obstacle to my recovery right now. Feedback is appreciated.
