I've been out of the hospital for a week or so after my third abdominal surgery and second ostomy revision. I've run out of Hydrocodone, last dose taken about 6 hours ago, and have a standing prescription for Pentazocine. I know it's late in the evening, otherwise I would call my pain management physician for advice. I don't want to be too late in taking something for pain, but I don't want to be foolish in potentially mixing medications. Does snyone know a safe amount of time before I can take my pentazocine, 50mg?

It is not useful to guess what dosages of these medicines to take and, ideally you should refer to a medic for your answers. However, if you google 'safe pentazocine dosage', you will find lots of authoritive advice.
