Hello! I have a Koch Pouch illeostomy since 1983.  I had a CAT Scan done this week and just found out today that inside my pouch there are 3 large stones. One is 3 cm and the other two are each 1 cm.  Has this happened to anyone else and if so what will need to be done? My Dr wants me to speak to a General Surgeon. Thanks in advance. Jill

Hi,

I think I might want to consult the surgeon that put the pouch in. Not sure I would want a general surgeon that may not be a versed in your needs as your specialty surgeon.  Just a thought!

Jilly Bean,   I agree with puppluv56.  When it comes to any surgery, I want someone who specializes in that field.  They are more likely to be more up to the minute with procedures and possiblities, as well as causes and reactions.  Good Luck

Peace
