I haven't been confident enough to swim in the pool or the ocean since my operation in 2022. Has anyone got any tips or tricks to make this a safe exercise? I just don't want the bag or flange to fall off during swimming.

Hello all,
I am looking for a good ostomy belt that is supportive enough to run with. What are some belts that have worked well for you?
I deal with intense pain in my abdomen from an injury. I still want to work out while I heal and try to get my life back.
I appreciate the help.

Are there no irrigation systems that fit the Mio Convex? I finally found the 2-piece I love, not knowing this. Any suggestions?

I had my reversal Nov. 20 and I've noticed I am slightly constipated. Having small, skinny little movements/pieces constantly and never feel totally fulfilled. I've noticed some ostomy deodorants have DMDM hydantoin in them, which is a formaldehyde releaser. They put it in there to kill bacteria, but how safe could this be so close to a stoma and if you're a rinser? I think M9, in my experience, has been the safest and most effective.

I'm wondering how many permanent ileostomy patients suffer from severe rectal pain? The pain internally where the rectal stump is left? I have suffered for 3 years with debilitating internal rectal pain.

Just wondering if anyone has tried this? If so, what did you think? I purchased a small bottle but see it contains some kind of alcohol, so I'm afraid to use it without asking others. By the way, I rinse when I empty, so I'm afraid of anything getting onto the stoma. I do rinse and use M9 in my pouch, but it never seemed to be a problem.
