I just found this site and so far like it, however, I am having a little trouble navigating through it. I've had my ostomy for about 16 years now, and believe me, I went through just about all the problems with the upkeep as everyone else. My wonderful ET nurse always came to the rescue and still does to this day if I need anything at all. I don't feel as much of a novice as I did, but I do know there is always something new to be learned. There are days I am glad to have the bag, and some I don't. I am so glad not to have all the pain and urgency that I used to have. I am getting older and can't run as fast as I used to. I can do more now than I could before the bag, just have to be very careful.
I'm sorry, but I am not an active member yet, so I can't answer any mail. I love to meet folks and chit-chat. It's so wonderful to know there are several folks that are in the same boat as me and understand how I feel.
