I am so scared but so anxious to have the surgery done already. I have been patiently waiting for 3 1/2 years. My surgery is on May 6th, and the procedure is to take down my pelvic pouch (the reversal didn't work for me apparently). I am still optimistic that once they go in, they can repair and rehook the j-pouch, fingers crossed. I just want this infection to be gone... 3 1/2 years is way too long to live with an infection leaking out of your abdomen. Once I'm done with surgery and recovery, I will become a full member so as to meet and chat with all my new ostomates. I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis in 2002; now they say they are not ruling out Crohn's. :) Wish me luck, everyone, and I look forward to more personal chats in the near future. Take care.
