I've finally found a comfortable bag, no leaks, no blowouts, the Coloplast Sensura convex, so I thought all was going well, apart from the arthritic shoulder. I've just been to my regular gastro check-up earlier in the week. I was honest about bleeding out my stoma, get it sometimes due to the Crohn's, and the pain in my right side, but the consultant is concerned. Now I have to have a bowel prep next Thursday, then a colonoscopy Friday, as well as a gastroscopy. Not only that, I'm stressing because some new painkillers for my shoulder have brought on a grand mal epileptic seizure, and I had another with the TENS machine I tried. I'm now on Tramadol and Co-codamol which are making me 'spaced out', great for the pain, but I'm not functioning at work or with my degree, and as I'm about to do my end of course assessment (end of my first year of 6) I need to be 'with it' so I'll have to come off the painkillers. I haven't told my boss I have epilepsy (normally petit mal), as I'm scared I'll lose my job which I love and live for. It's not a good week, fingers crossed my bowel is okay...
