Well, it has been 4 weeks since my reversal, and it is finally getting better! The first 2 weeks after surgery were the worst; there was a lot of gas, diarrhea, and pain. My surgeon put me on Neurontin for nerve pain, and it has helped. I now have about 4-5 BMs a day, but they are all close together, none at night; my colon is adjusting! I add new foods every day but in very small amounts. Salads tear me up, LOL, so I go easy on them, but I tolerate cooked veggies well. The pain is easing every day (thank God), and I am very thankful for everything. I am going out more, and the other day I went to the bathroom in a store and went to empty my bag only to remember that all I had to do was pull my skirt up and go, LOL! That was quite a good feeling, I have to say. I have a wonderful husband of 33 years and an awesome family who has helped me so much through this whole ordeal. I want to wish all of you the best of luck and blessings; something always comes out good of everything that happens in life, good or bad.
