I’ve opted for robotic assisted takedown from the ostomy I’ve had since May. I’m both excited and a little nervous. Hoping all goes well. I’ll keep you all informed.

That's great!  I just had my takedown on Jan 30th - also robot assisted - went great.  I am in Minnesota as well.  Best of luck to you!!!

Good luck, I'm very curious how it goes. I was promised one in the future, and I'm not sure what to think of it. It would be great to be a standard human again.

Several days post-op now… pooping is happening but still slow. Had a lot of scar tissue to remove, but robotic surgery was successful with appendectomy performed as well due to excessive scarring. Everything is still sore, but I came home from the hospital yesterday. Glad to be parting ways with my poop in the normal fashion.

I'm exceedingly grateful to my little stoma and to the ostomate community for the support I've received over these past five months.

Thank you all.
