What day-to-day bag do you have?

All the bags I have are too small to include a travel kit, and the instructions are to not leave a spare base plate and bag in the car.

I keep a spare bag, ring, and toilet paper in a black biodegradable bag in my purse. If I need to change in an emergency, everything goes in the black bag, and I toss it in the trash.

I carry a kit of extras with me wherever I go. It's in my purse that I bring with me everywhere. If your purse isn't big enough, get a bigger purse. If you need a bigger travel kit bag, the company you use should have sent one, but if not, you can buy one. A toiletry travel bag comes in different sizes, bigger or smaller. Amazon has them for good prices.

I have a sigmoid colostomy and use a Hollister 2-piece system.

I use a small backpack. It contains a precut wafer, 2 bags, and 3 disposal bags, adhesive remover pads, 2 barrier rings, a roll of Hypafix tape, Q-tips, 10 paper towels, 2 pairs of gloves, a small handheld mirror, small scissors, some toothpicks, stoma powder, 5 3M Cavalon swabs, a bar of Cetaphil soap, a small bottle of Purell, and a small package of sanitizer wipes.

I've left all of it in my car trunk for many days in the sun. It didn't negatively affect the wafer or barrier rings, probably because they are not in direct sunlight.

No daily bag at all. I am very confident my bag won't blow.

7 days of wear time.

Now a vacation bag or sleepover is a bit different. Not having any of those as of late.

Just might bring an extra pair of everything. Convectect sent a nice travel bag with the first order. Did you get yours? Holds everything. Give them a call.

I leave a change of supplies in my truck all the time. I change it out about every 6 months with fresh stuff. Never an issue using the stuff that's been in the truck for 6 months. Obviously, don't leave it in direct sunlight. I do the same in my work bag. I've never needed any of it. I carry wet wipes to wipe the emptied bag out when I'm out and about, but that's it.

I just use a ziplock bag for a change out. I was leaving spares in the car, but the front and back of the bag welded together. Do not do that anymore.

I carry 1 drainable 1-piece bag folded in half in my pocket. It has seen me right for over 30 years. Never trust a stoma and bag, and get overconfident and go any distance from home without a spare bag; the inevitable always happens at some point! Learn from my mistakes.

I keep my appliance change supplies in zip lock bags because keeping everything organized with 2 stomas gets challenging.

I throw a kit for each stoma in my purse along with a small pack of wipes and a small trash bag.

I used to carry a small purse, but no more!

I keep a change of clothes in my car. It's way too much to carry with me. Lol

SusanT I carry an extra set of clothes, a hand towel, my extra ostomy supplies, baby wipes, etc. I use an overnight bag as a purse. Then again, pre-ostomy, I always carried a big purse and put everything and anything you would think you might need, and then some, lol, so it's not different for me having an ostomy and carrying a big ol' bag with me.

Lol, I always carried a small crossbody bag. I like to have my hands free. Even a purse big enough for my supplies seems huge to me. I'm still adapting. I may switch to a small backpack.

🤭You, Ben...must have an awful mean stoma. Even bad boy Leroy Brown would be scared of it...Good tip though.

I'm only at 8 years with mine as an ileo. No traveling issues.

My hands are free. I make sure it has straps I can put on my shoulder. Lol, but yeah, it is big for a purse, and they make cute backpacks now. An idea: they make diaper bags now as backpacks. It has more pockets inside and more places to put things. An idea for you.

I have a small supply of everything I may need in a small bag in my car and the same in my desk at work. I've only used them twice in nine years.

I usually just put an extra bag in the pocket of my pants and keep an extra in my car.

Gonna need more than a bag if you get a leak.

I keep a Ziploc bag with several wipes, precut bags, and now scissors for the Brava sheets, all in my coat pocket. I use the Ziploc bag to contain the bag I remove, as well as any contaminated wipes. So far, I haven't had to change anywhere but at the doctor's office, and they were able to provide me with a mirror so I could better see what I was doing.

Same, not used to needing a bigger handbag. I found a nylon satchel from Baggu with a thick, longer strap that can be worn crossbody. I sling it towards the back, and it is comfortable and more convenient than a backpack. Similar bags on Amazon, but I haven't tried them.
I'm still carrying a pair of yoga pants, just in case, along with supplies. I miss my tiny crossbody bag; oh well.

Back when I wore contacts, I was given a couple of contact carry bags (about 6" by 4" by about 1.5" thick with a zipper). I fill it with several pouches, a pre-cut faceplate, disposal bags, and separately a small container of moist wipes. I carry this in the main part of my purse and refill as needed. Works great.

Never leave your stoma gear in the heat! I live up north and have a small black bag. Complete change, wipes, powder, chux, and my portable emptying device (my invention). As a hiker, I can be miles from a toilet. Parks close them in winter. Fits between your knees. Empty, wipe, twist close, sitting in the driver's seat facing outside. Lots of room.

I have one too. It's the best idea yet. I live in a rural area, and there isn't a place to go for over an hour to an hour and a half. So this comes in really handy.
