I had a emergency stoma fitted 13months ago suffered sepsis and was in a coma twice plus 4 more ops to repair burst abscesses. I still am in constant back and muscle pain and pain and cramps in stoma area. Nobody seems to know what my problem is and doctor thinks it is in my mind.....it isn't. Anyone else suffering like me any help would much appreciated.

Hi Verdun,

I am sorry you are in pain and I can not even imagine what you must be going thru. I just wanted to say maybe you need a second opinion, it couldn't hurt to have another doctor take a look and a listen. I hope you find relief soon~

My mid back pain was the worst part of the surgery for awhile. As the inside healed it let up. The removal of the colon makes for huge readjustments inside. Real hard pain, etc. can be from adhesions.  You really need to have this scanned.  Good luck.
