Hi leolynne
Granulars are quite common with ostomy's. I have had a few over the years.  Silver niterate is the normal treatment, it's slightly uncomfortable

Are they common with all kinds of ostomies or certain types?

Uro, colo, or ileo?

I don't know about Uro. but with ileo. yes. But you may never get one.  Don't worry they are easily treated. They just bleed a lot when changing appliance. I have a jejunostomy now have had 1 on that as well.
