I had an ileostomy six weeks ago and have been told I have a pelvic collection. I have rectal pain and bladder "pressure" (difficult to describe). It isn't an infection as blood is fine and no fever. Does anyone have experience of this? Grateful for any ideas.

I had my reversal September 9. I am so happy! Saw my doctor yesterday... I have been released... Yup, I can start working out, go in the jacuzzi... no limitations- just listen to my body.
Although I still have too many bowel movements a day so she said to take Imodium before every meal. So we'll see as far as that!
But let me tell you I do not miss Humpty!

I am 6 months in and I feel like I just got out of my 3-week hospital stay. At first, I was having terrible leakage problems and I still do at times. When I touch any cleaning chemicals or scented soaps etc.. anything really gasoline if it gets on my hand at the pump. I can literally taste and smell it. Also I have fragrance intolerance so it sets off a migraine and sinus. I've looked it up and it is some kind of issue for some. Anyone else ever experience this?

I haven't been confident enough to swim in the pool or the ocean since my operation in 2022. Has anyone got any tips or tricks to make this a safe exercise? I just don't want the bag or flange to fall off during swimming.
