I am currently trialing 2 piece bags. I like them as they are easy to apply. I am using the sensura Mio 2 piece. But the issue I have is cleaning the base plate after removing bag, the poo gets under the rim and impossible to clean. Has anyone any advice or recommendations for 2 piece that are easier to clean please?<

I use a Hollister two-piece. The part that goes over the stoma is called a skin barrier, then the bag is attached to that once its on. When I change it out, I throw the used one away. There's nothing else to it. Simple as that. No paste; no rings. The skin barrier is stock #11202, the CeraPlus New Image model. I've never had a leak or an issue.

When I use bags, I use the Sensura Mio 2 piece.
I wash out the bag whilst it is still attached to the baseplate and it lasts for about a week. Then I throw the whole lot a way as it really is not worth trying to clean the baseplate. If i wanted these things to last a bit longer I might try a Salts Dermacol stoma collar, which guides the output away from the base of the stoma. However, For the purposes of irrigation, I made my own baseplate which is easily washable after each use.
The art of experimenting necessitates identifying more precisely what it is I want from the equipment and subsequently designing the appropriate device to suit my needs.
Not for everyone- but over tyhe years it has paid off in terms of comfort, reliability and confidence in the routines.
Best wishes
