Ace Procedure?

Hello Fellow Ostomates!
I've had a colostomy since '98 and am thinking of getting it surgically reversed and changed to something called an ACE procedure. I'm wondering if anyone out there has ever heard of it or had one themselves. Wondering what the pro's and cons of it might be as compared to just keeping the colostomy?

i went the opposite way, started with an ace and went to a colostomy, feel free to message me if this is still relevant.
