Please take the time to vote for me today and every day until November 18, 2017. I am trying feverishly to bring awareness, education, and compassion to ostomates and all those who are just entering our world of ostomies and to remove the negative stigmas associated with these life-saving appliances. Won't you help me give us a stronger voice? Thank you so much.

Thank you so much, please vote every day if you have the time. I very much appreciate it. You can actually press the go back arrow and repeat voting over and over apparently. Just be careful because the bubbles that our pictures are in keep revolving.

I have been on the site and cast my vote today. I was moved by all the stories of the finalists and I must say that I'M NOT A FAN OF THESE COMPETITIONS where one person is pitted against another to see who can attract the most support. They are all winners as far as I am concerned and it was so enlightening and encouraging to read their stories. However, I'm all for supporting those who are doing their best to help others.
Best wishes

Thank you for your comment, Bill,
To be absolutely honest, I'm not one for contests either. I had a friend who took it upon herself to write a letter, of which I've never even seen yet, and somehow I became one of the nominees. It is a huge honor as they have only chosen four people, and I was completely shocked when I received the call. From my standpoint, I am thrilled to be able to have our voices of the ostomy world heard in such a large forum. Just being nominated has given us all the chance for more and more people out there to be informed and also to get their colonoscopy, especially. Thank you so much for taking the time to read our stories. Each one of the nominees is so deserving.
Sincerely, Melissa
