Hi, I am looking for people close to me who know what I am going through and dealing with an ileostomy. I am in Ashland, Kentucky; my area is considered the tri-state area of Kentucky, Ohio, and West Virginia. If you want, look me up on Facebook or Instagram, Luauna Daniels ❤️

Hi... welcome. One of the sad parts about this site is that rarely anyone is close by.

I think there are a few in your tri-state area who'd chime in.

In my own state of NJ, there are several people. I met one within 20 miles. The others are 50 plus miles all over the state.

Some won't bother for whatever stupidity they feel is right in logic. Duh... but give it time. Be patient. Nothing beats meeting a fellow ostomate.

Usually, it is hard finding another ostemate nearby. Check with your hospital or stoma nurse if they know of support groups in your area. This website is comprised of good folks with an ostomy. It's a great place to ask questions or vent frustration. We've all experienced ups and downs.

Welcome fellow ostomate

How long have you had your ileostomy?

Hi... This is my second ileostomy. I had a reversal in 2023 and it didn't go well. The first one I had so many issues with; it was under the skin, it didn't stick out or anything. This one is much better.

Glad this one is working better for you.
I've had mine for almost 6 years now. It was meant to be a temporary measure, having a reversal; however, that didn't go to plan earlier in the year, so now I have it permanently.

Hey Sis, I'm not in your area, I'm in SE Penna, but I do have an ileostomy that I've had for 5 years. I've had horrendous experiences with leaks upon leaks upon leaks. I also use coloplast products exclusively as I've found they best suite my needs. I could probably answer some basic questions but the coloplast products reps are very good at offering solutions. You should call and speak with someone and we could still chat and share experiences if you choose to. Hope this is helpful. Regards. 🙏🏾

This is actually my second ileostomy. The first one I had so many issues with. I prefer Coloplast over any other bags. Thank you.
