Hi, does anyone else have a very noisy stomach when eating or after they have eaten? Mine is so loud and embarrassing sometimes. Please let me know. Thanks, and my wind from my bag is so loud.

I don't have much, but sometimes it is loud. I think it's more loud to the person than it is to others as most don't even seem to notice.

My stomach goes through phases. It can be very loud, rumbling, and then go quiet for ages. Again, one time I was seeing my GP and he was smiling and said, "That's your stoma." I smiled back and laughed and said, "Yes, it is." I didn't like to disappoint him and say it wasn't, lol... And whoever said, "Silence is golden," never had a stoma! If you're somewhere quiet, you can almost guarantee it's going to make itself heard.

If you haven't done already, it might be worth looking at your diet to see if anything you're eating/drinking is the cause of your stoma being windy.

Are you talking about your stomach being loud, or your stoma? My stomach doesn't make much noise, but my stoma doesn't know when to shut up. My husband can hear mine often from across the room. It might be because I eat a lot of gas-causing foods, but I'm not willing to give up the things I love, especially when they are also good for me. I just live with the noise, but it can be embarrassing at times.

Both my stomach when it sounds like it's grumbling and my gas from my stoma. My husband laughs when it's noisy, that I'm not too bothered with, but when my stomach starts, it can go on for a couple of hours and no, it's not because I'm hungry. It does it when eating and after.

I know what I am eating that's making the gas, but it's veg I like and can tolerate. So I decided to put up with the noise. It just puts you off a bit about meal plans, but never mind, worse things could happen. Thank you for the response.

I think some of it is also due to the fact that your stoma opens to the outside world, so normal tummy grumbles that would be muffled under layers of muscle, etc., can be heard loudly. Mine has its moments, to be sure :)
