Lol... not in that sense! Hehe. I've recently got into more cardio rather than just weight training but, my pouch seems to come undone... even on days I haven't sweat too much. Anyone have any tips/tricks/advice?

Lynn

Hi Gemini16,

You're in the right place to get plenty of support from our large community here. It's great to see you diving into cardio!

When it comes to keeping your pouch secure during workouts, you might want to try using a support belt or wrap specifically designed for ostomates. They can help keep everything in place, especially during more intense activities. Also, consider experimenting with different pouching systems or adhesives to find what works best for you. Some folks find that using a skin barrier wipe before applying the pouch helps with adhesion, even when you're not sweating a lot.

Congrats on being part of this community! You'll find loads of support, information, and some really cool people who are more than willing to share their experiences and tips. Keep up the great work with your fitness journey!

So these aren't perfect, but they do help keep pressure: Corsinel StomaSafe Plus... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CD48M10?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Also, have you considered rowing? I used to love running and it was my only outlet for stress, but after so many surgeries and OH, I needed alternative options so my PT got me into rowing and it was a really good option for me.

Also, are you using skin prep and the extra elastic barrier strips around the wafer?

You wear a belt of some sort?

Hi Gem

I do bag work and weight training and have never had any trouble. I have always worn a seal and a belt but I also use a wide elastic waistband when I train.

Agree with Alex asking about the belt. If you don't, I recommend you do. It made a big difference for my husband, and I got the suggestion here.

I work out extremely hard but wear a wrap and haven't had an issue yet.

1) Soberderm barrier spray!

2) XL Coloplast Brava Tape Extenders!

3) Use hairdryer to warm skin & flange of bag!

If that doesn't work, put your head between your knees & kiss your arse goodbye! 😊

Hey Sis, try using coloplast brava skin barrier sheets beneath your pouching system. I've found they wear quite well despite sweat or skin wetness.
