Hi, Terri here, just an update on day 88 on a carnivore diet while having a permanent ostomy. It has been fabulous! I have talked to my doctors and oncologists and updated them on my diet and weight loss plan.

My meds are: AG1 vitamins (2% fiber per dose), 1 vitamin D2K3 drop, and 1 dose of Restoralax per day with the AG1. No other medications, although I use marijuana for back and arthritic pain. I make my own electrolyte mixture and put salt on everything because you don't get it anywhere else in the carnivore diet.

I've lost 23.5 lbs, my skin is clear and not dry. My hair is shiny and thickening back up. I'm getting toned just by doing my regular housework and yard work (although it hasn't helped my chronic bad back lol). Those small red blood blisters I got with the first cancer have started shrinking and drying up too! I have zero digestive pain and no abdominal pain with very little output. My 2-piece bags last a full 7 days and I have zero skin issues or leakage around my ostomy in that time.

Moana is plump and shiny and apparently she likes the new diet. She is still an inny and I prolapsed her a bit with moving furniture while constipated last November, but she has fully recovered and I finally feel hopeful. It's been at least 8 years since I felt so energetic and motivated.

My latest CT scan was a real bummer, but I'm not afraid of cancer anymore. I'm fighting back and trying to help others fight back too. The CT scan showed the 6 suspected metastasis colon cancers, in my left lung, right tonsil, liver, and in my abdomen near the original colon cancer. The February PET scan showed the tonsil and one of 2 in the lung are the largest and have grown a couple of mm each since the Nov 22 scan. I had lung surgery in March 2023 to remove the bottom quadrant of the left lung, but they want to watch the upper left suspected cancer for a bit longer before I lose the whole lung.

The nose, ear, and throat specialist said to watch the tonsil with my regular 3-month CT scans as the surgery would be very difficult as I'm a bleeder and a puker. I'm okay with waiting for 3 more months.

The upside is I did not experience my usual allergic reaction to the contrast dye for the first time after 66 days on a carnivore diet. If this trend continues, I won't have to take steroids at hour 13/7/1 before the scan plus a 24-hour Reactine to minimize my negative reaction. This time there was nothing... I've had regular 3 to 6 month CT scans for 6 years and always have a reaction.

I drink filtered water and eat non-processed meat, fat, butter, and eggs with a tiny bit of dairy or goat cheese. Add salt to everything. I also drink nettle and raspberry leaf teas but nothing that has added flavor or sugar, just leaves and twigs ;)

I still grew a full garden of veg and strawberries for my kids and parents but no longer want anything green except my AG1. Thanks for listening. I will keep you posted in case you want to try it too.

Wow. I am so sorry for all that you have been through. It's good that you have such a positive attitude. I need to look into this carnivore diet. I went on a diet and had too much fiber that it sent me to the hospital with a partial blockage. Is there somewhere I can find that diet? Best of luck to you.
