I'm 73 and had an emergency colostomy six months ago.
I had septic shock, congestive heart failure, anemia, and was in the ICU for 2 weeks on a ventilator.
I'm having the reversal done a week from tomorrow.
My surgeon had me get a CAT scan, bloodwork, and a colonoscopy.
Everything looks good.

I'm a nervous wreck the closer the surgery gets.

I'm having it done in a large hospital in Ft. Worth with top surgeons.

It scares me after what I went through.

You made it through all that. To now face your final surgery. Good surgeons and God will watch over you.

You should be in better health now. I do not know about your general health, but people usually do quite well with closure.
