Fartlettes/Turdlettes/Pooplettes, also known as mucus - possible easy explanation for inquiring newbies

Fartlettes = small farts

Turdlettes/Pooplettes = words less offensive to me in place of mucus🤮

These nicknames I have referred to before on this site… A simple explanation would be - if you still have parts remaining south of the baghugger - namely a butthole, these little “lettes” occasionally may slip out - they do for me even after 4 years of owning a loop ileostomy. I am missing 12” of my colon, and the remaining colon still wants its old job back and on occasion, it lets me know by grumbling and spitting “lettes” - sometimes encouraging me to head for a toilet with that old feeling… but nothing much happens, only a feeling that passes. Hmmm. Sometimes I may have the same grumbling and spitting attitude about my old colon from time to time.

So if you are a newbie to this site and you have this unexplainable weirdness, most will say not to worry. Many have had it as well. On the other hand, if there is blood or maybe more serious issues, do not hesitate to seek professional answers. jb

And might I add... a new term I learned, the elusive Ghost Turd.

Another Ostemate came up with that term. I thought it was really funny. We gotta enjoy humor while we can.
