Hello I had a tumor nda my belly got larger like i have 55 in.  wasteline.  I was skinny befo  my tumor.  So  now my pouches will not stay on me. I have used the belt and different size epouches and styles.  The paste will not even helpme out.  I go though 2-3 pouches per day.

so does anyone have any ideasl.  I am stuck with the ilio. for life and also the tumor too.l  I do not over eat att all. I am told the tumor is producing a hormone and that is why I am bigger now.  When I had my  surgery some 7 yrs back I was skinny and only 40 waste.  The hormone is prolactone caused bythe petulitary gland.  So any recomendstions from anyone.  It is very costly sa you can imagin.

Mart, you need to talk with an ostomy nurse who is familiar with various products. Your pouches should stay on you for several days. Something tells me that you may not be doing something right or that you need to change what you use. Why is your pouch coming off? Could you be using too much adhesive powder? Is your stoma in the best location? Are you sweating too much? I am glad you are asking for help. There is an answer somewhere and I hope you find it soon. One thing is for sure: you shouldn't have to change 2-3 times daily. Good luck!   PB

          Hello PB,

I thank you fo rhgte reply.   My case is the proper bag is being uses.  Though I have a bad hormone imbalnce from a tumor in my petulitary glad.  So it produced the oprolactatee hormone which is a female homone as you may know. So my belly sticks way way out.  So I look like I am 5 months preg..  I have tried amny things from different ostimy suppliers too.  i tried a belt, a wafer  that is flexable and bends easy .  Also a few other things too.

This allhappened in a five month time spand from one yr. ago and keot building up.  One thing I am not oveer eating at all  Surgery for he tumor is out.  So I am stuck with it.  I use a Convetec bag which i have used sicne the start agfter my surgery.  I even tried teh Ekin seals too.  I always sthough it was getting wet and falling off, but then they said with my belly sticking out it was pealing off of me.

So tht is my story to you PB.  I do plan to go bakc and see the nure at my hosp. . I ahve a nurse coming in on a daily basis and she was one in that field for a while. So she reconds I go back too.  So i will go back in a few days .
