Hoping This Is My Final Surgery After Long Health Battle

dear all.

over the last 18 months . through a neropathic injury called cauda equine. i have been left with a disability my right leg my back. i take so much medication through the day. i have a colostomy one side on the right i have a ileal conduit. i had my bladder removed in february, that as taken alot out of me. now i have 2 hernias the 1 on the right is like a football. i see the surgeon on the 24th. they give me alot of pain like stitch i does not go away. is their any other cauda equine suffers out their.



ihave been told that my cauda equine is really bad as the extreme damage it as cause. to be told it all could have been avoided , if i had my spine decompressed. i had urgent back surgery but for me it was to late. 5 years ago i had a good job was fit played golf 3 time a week. now  i dont go out .



my wee leg bags i cant get the right one i have tried loads my bag i use is a hollister. its a good bag but as a weird fitting. what i wont is all you people who have a wee stoma. what leg bag and fitting do u use even better who used a hollister wee bag what do u use for a leg bag. help me please i have had loads of leaks.

Keith, I'd say a visit from an ET (Enterostomal Therapist) is called for.  They are ostomy experts and will tell you what will work for you.
