Ostomy Reversal: Is Gas Cramping Normal?

just had it a week ago and still on low residue diet  .  is it ok to get gas cramping

Congrats on a successful reversal, Tink. All the best. I think a little cramping is normal based on my own reversal experiences 10 years ago. Check with your doctor if it persists. By the way, I don't know where you reside but up here in the Northeast there's something going around causing folks to burp a lot after eating. maybe that's a factor. Good luck and be well.

I am almost a year post reversal of an ileo and still occasionally get cramps from gas but it has settle.d a lot since just after the op. Hope you are doing well apart from that.
