Comfortable Backpack Options for Colostomy Patients

Trying to find a comfy, durable backpack. Every one I've tried buckles right where my right-side colostomy stoma is. I find the backpack belt too tight and concerned that my very active ileo will blow a gasket. Any estimate backpackers out there?

Hi Godswoman, I would suggested trying each backpack on for a "good fit."  It may be like selecting a pair of comfy shoes...you need to try it on.  In addition, there are products out there called Stoma Shields or StomaDeomes that protect the stoma and allow activity as well.  This product may be for you.  Just a thought.  Take care and keep us posted how things progress.  LH
