On 3 occasions now after fairly heavy gardening and lifting, I've noticed that my ileostomy has a pulling/slight pain sensation, protrudes slightly more (I think maybe telescoping out a bit) and at the same time the output turns from porridge-like to liquid only. I also have pain in my rectal stump. Lots of sticky, smelly discharge. I can't use the suppositories. I use a small enema every other day. It does get rid of the stuck mucus, but I also experience pain and muscle spasms after I use the enema for several days. I talked to my surgeon, and he's not worried. Hi, I have had a urostomy for 2 years and bought some Stealth Belts. Sadly, I'm outgrowing them. I never felt my Coloplast 2-part urostomy bag fit right—had to fold and crinkle it up too much, which reduced capacity.
Any thoughts/recommendations?

Hi friends! So today marks 19 days post-surgery and so far all is going well. This week I had blood in my stool on and off, so since my anxiety always runs high, I panicked and called my surgeon. Hey all - had my operation just last month and am now back home recovering.
I have found myself getting random sharp stabbing pains in my abdomen, anus, and groin area since my surgery. Anyone had a rectal closure who can advise me how long the pain and discomfort last?
I am 2 weeks post-op and finding it tough going.

I got some 2-piece Sensura Click 2. DBL MAX OPQPC DBL MAX with no directions. I have never used 2-piece appliances and am not very computer literate. I can't find any directions on how to use them.
The videos I have found do not match what I have. It's very hard to reach my Coloplast rep.
Can someone please help me find a video? Thank you.

Regarding bag change after shower. Adrenaline rush is good. Just before the end of your shower, think of something that really makes you angry. Hold on to that feeling for the duration of the bag replacement. You may have a much cleaner and easier replacement.

I finally have a date for my reversal surgery. It's March 27. My doctor isn't very informative, so I'm reaching out to ask about the recovery. I have all my "parts" - nothing has been removed or altered. I'm told this should make it easier. I've had this ostomy bag for about 3 years. I have found certain soaps and/or shampoos and conditioners can loosen pouches during a shower.
I'm experimenting with different products. Right now I'm using Ivory bar soap for my body, which I detest the smell of, but it's working. Vanicream shampoo. Stopped using conditioner although I have some It's a 10 Lite Leave-In on hand if needed. Dial White or Ivory for the stoma at changing time.
