Hi ostofriends.

The revision of the revision of my stoma has been interesting.

May all our colons and/or small intestines shake like the bow of a willow tree and put us in awe of something so flawed and free...

I have made this my colon song:

Excellent choice Bellily, love Hozier's voice.  Here's to moving!

"I still watch you when you're groovin'
As if through water from the bottom of a pool
You're movin' without movin'
And when you move, I'm moved
You are a call to motion
There, all of you a verb in perfect view
Like Jonah on the ocean
When you move, I'm moved"

I'm glad y'all are liking this song.

As I'm singing it (loudly and with feeling and frequently) in the car, I assumed it said "when you move, I move" (vs. I'm moved, although I am).

This "I'm moved" adds a whole new dimension.

I had my post-surgery appointment today. This "self-maturing" stoma is beginning to look like a stoma (vs. a bloody stump monster) and the surgeon is pleased with himself about it.

I tried to pose questions about the way I've been feeling post-surgery, all the moods and cramps and feebleness I'm attributing to this anthropomorphized organ feeling very wronged by being cut on. He didn't bite, didn't take the organ having feelings into consideration. Metamucil was his suggestion. Retrain it like the digestion dog it is. OK.

I'm listening to this song again for the first time in 2 years and still think it's an excellent colon song.

Maybe not the best ileo-small intestine song - there's a different song out there for how that motion feels.

Hope all y'all are doing well.
