Hi, ride pillion on the back of a fast motorbike, haven't had any probs there and also have an off road trike thing (doesn't go fast at all though) and that doesn't shake it off either!

As long as you aren't doing those activities in the buff where the edge of your appliance could snag ...

... you should definitely be fine.

One thing that my ostomy nurse mentioned when I queried her on more strenuous activities ... a hernia belt is a good precaution if and when you are straining the abdomen. She's seeing more and more hernias on ostomates.

Hi Woody

As Beatrice suggested about the support belt, you can ask for one of these from your ostomy association. Also a suggestion would be to ask about support boxers. These are all available on the SAS (Stoma Applicance Scheme).

All,

Thank you for your advice.

Jax and Beatrice I have order these with my next supply.

I went riding wih my Daughter and used one of my wifes boob tubes as support and this appeared to work well.

Regards

I like to ride.  Trail riding, not much for jumps.  Watch what I eat before  I leave and enjoy the trip.  Like to ride in Northern Minnesota in the US.   Never had a pouch losen up so don't be affraid. Jeff
