I am currently using Edgepark for my supplies. It works, but I'm always waiting on supplies because of one thing or another. So, I'm trying to branch out and see who else is out there. I live in NV. I know Amazon sells supplies. I just hope there are more out there that take Medicaid for insurance. I can't afford these supplies out of pocket. Help, thanks.

I get my supplies from Better Health. I think they are good.

I use Edgepark too, and am on original Medicare, Part A & B. I have a prescription my surgeon sent to Edgepark for ostomy supplies, which helps speed up the process.

Finding suppliers that accept Medicaid takes work. It's a joint federal and state program. Each state has their own rules and policies.

I would call different distribution companies and ask if they accept your insurance; they know more than your insurance company, sad to say. I had Edge Park at one point, and I have to say that it doesn't surprise me that you're having issues; I also did when I had them. Google distribution companies, and it will give you a list. A couple off the top of my head: Comfort Medical, Bryam. I don't know what 1800 Medical is. Prism (who I don't recommend, but that's another one), then there are others.

I use Byram for my supplies. I simply go online and order. I also have Medicare. My supplies have been paid for 100%. I am very pleased with Byram.

For what it's worth ... I am on Medicare Part A & B, but not Medicaid. I use sealed pouches, and am limited by Medicare rules to 2 a day (3 boxes of 60 for 90 days), but I average using close to 5 boxes per 90 days. Be on the lookout on eBay. While sometimes the pouches that appear can be fairly expensive, I can usually find some for only $50 a box. I don't know what type of supplies you use; I know I have found the drainables for much less. You just have to pick and choose and build up a supply if your insurance wants to limit you. I hope you find a better supplier, but do keep an eye on eBay, and you just might find something that will helpĀ  build up your supplies for a reasonable amount.

My husband was told to pick a supplier out of a list of four. Edgepark won! I could hardly wait to find another supplier. I had so many issues with EDGEPARK - my first boxes had the same month and year expiration dates. Being a brand new ostomate can be quite scary, after all. Finally, I found another... two years later. I have been extremely happy with BYRAM. I will soon be on MEDICARE!

My husband uses 180Medical and it says they accept most state medicaid plans. We've been very happy with them.

Try "Honest Medical". Way better than Edgepark.

I have used Edgepark for several years. In the beginning, there were no problems, but I was naive about the quantities I was allowed. Then, thanks to this website and the internet, I began questioning customer service. Each time I was given a different answer. I complained several times about the last four orders concerning this to customer service, but I never received a call back. So, I finally made the switch to Byram, have made my first order with them, and yes, my order quantity was much more than what Edgepark said I was allowed! I was on private insurance back in the early days, now on Medicare. So, their customer service people are either not educated or don't care enough to help!

I get my ostomy supplies from Duke Medical Supplies in Fenton, MO. They bill my insurance, Medicare and Aetna. Jennifer and the ladies are always pleasant and helpful.

I get my catheter supplies from them, but they don't carry the brand I use, Sensura Milo. In the beginning, when I was a newbie, I had a terrible time with blowouts. The ostomy nurse was no help; I switched on my own. I have a colostomy with liquid stools, so I need to wear a high output ileostomy bag. I have never had a problem with leaking since and can go 7-10 days between changes.
