Hello everyone! It's day 538 on an all-meat, fat, and egg diet, and I feel great!
My goal is to kill metastasized colon cancer.
I've been fighting it since 2017 when I lost the first foot of colon and part of my rectum. Chemo didn't work. The second cancer in 2021 took my uterus, ovaries, and the rest of my colon except a foot. Chemo and radiation didn't work. I became a reluctant, angry ostomate and thought my life was over. In 2023, when my weight had ballooned to 194 pounds, I lost the bottom 1/3 of my left lung. I had tried everything to get my weight under control since 2017, but nothing worked for more than a week or two. Not diet, nor exercise, and I had a whole slew of physical problems including being depressed to show for it. I was using a cane and a wheelchair when needed. I worked hard but in circles until everything got finished. I was exhausted as soon as I woke up.
I saw a video on YouTube about a doctor who swore by the carnivore diet to get rid of inflammation related to illnesses, so I started studying up on it and got ready to try it for myself.
June 1st, 2023, two years to the day since I became an ostomate, I started the carnivore diet.
It saved my life.
On day 538, I am healthy and happy with myself. I'm a relaxed and flexible 147lbs to 152lbs and am able to do anything I need to do such as gardening, shoveling snow, moving furniture, or carrying around a 25lb baby on a daily basis. No more cane or wheelchair.
My rashes, eczema, allergies, weight gain, depression, arthritis, skin, nails, teeth, and hair have all improved, and my brain fog has dissipated.
I feel younger, and I recover faster. This last year had all the extreme highs and lows you could imagine, but I got through it relatively unscathed. This terrible and wonderful period of my life has shown me how strong I have become mentally and physically. I attribute this recovery to the carnivore diet.
The last year has been the most stressful of my life, which is saying something, but here I am. My CEA numbers jumped significantly three months ago but have slowed down now. None of the known cancers or suspected cancers have grown either. I'm very happy.
I have started making lazy cabbage rolls in the Dutch oven every two weeks. I've been doing this for three months with no negative effects. I go heavy on the ground beef, bacon, and butter but light on the rice, cabbage, cauliflower, stewed tomatoes, and onions. It's enough to help me with my lifelong love of vegetables.
Best wishes to you all and have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year!
