Has anyone participated in the Osto-Ring study? I believe it is related to the Hollister 2pc pouch.

The surgeon said it will be a very complicated surgery based on the original colostomy surgery. Severe diverticulitis and lots of scar tissue, not to mention vaginal fistulas connected to the colon. I have an ileostomy and need to lose weight, but I have issues with high output. Any suggestions?

In prior years, I have always donated my surplus supplies to my ET nurse. She told me this morning that they are no longer allowed to accept them due to a FDA ruling. She said that I could donate them to the American Cancer Society. So if people are looking for supplies you might want to call your local ACS to see if they have them available.

There are times when I am just not in the mood to change my whole system, but I am in my fourth day and I know I must do it before I create skin issues, then I will really be very sorry. Hi all, I've had my ileostomy for 22 years with very few issues, luckily. I think I've got a partial blockage after eating baby sweetcorn on Monday night. It's now Friday and output is still reduced, and I still have some mild abdominal pain and tenderness. Will it eventually sort itself, or should I be speaking to my doctor? I feel okay with no sickness.

Hi! I recently had an ostomy, like a month ago. I'm adjusting pretty well for the most part... OK, I break down crying at least twice a day in private. This was somewhat unexpected. I'll get into my fun story later.
For now, I have a serious question. Since my surgery, I've had several instances of wetting my bed at night. I'm curious if this could be related to my ostomy?

I desperately need a good support belt that can be customized for a double ostomy.

My urostomy is badly recessed and requires extra support. (Due to other health issues I won't be a candidate for revision surgery for some time)
