Ostomy Topics

I'd like to know what everyone uses so as not to be uncomfortable where the adhesive is on the skin, down the sides, and bottom of the bag. I use a barrier around the stoma, but it's just very uncomfortable most of the time. I cry myself to sleep! Any suggestions would be appreciated. I've tried so many bags, but it's not the bag but the adhesive. Thank you.

I hope I’m posting this in the right forum. I’ve had my ileostomy for 1 month and I’m having a devil of a time with finding clothing where the ostomy bag doesn’t stand out. I’d appreciate any suggestions. Thank you.

I am in need of recommendations on the best ostomy bags to use. I am currently using the Sensura Mio Convex system, which I like, except that when I have output, it always gets sucked up in the pre-filter, and when that happens, it loses its effectiveness (ballooning, odor, etc.). I have been uncomfortable wearing slacks - forget about my favorite jeans - since my colostomy was installed. I now pretty much wear dresses all the time. My urostomy is below my waistline and my colostomy is above it. If I wear slacks, the output from the colostomy gets all squished and flat and horrid and difficult to clean. Hi everyone,
I'm finally feeling well enough to start driving again, but the seat belt goes right across my stoma. Do I need to worry about that? Should I use a guard or something for protection when driving?

My bag is so darn crinkly sounding at the slightest movement. I need help because this little(?) bundle of joy is for life. I've tried so many belts and covers I could open a boutique!! I'm always watching help videos and reading, but nothing helps with crinkly noises. I'm only 73 and have a good 20 years left in me.
